Getting your flash off the hot shoe of your camera is one of the most beneficial lighting techniques you will ever learn. We will learn how to do this in a simple methodical manner, to create stunning lighting effects.
(You will need a camera with a full manual mode and a hot shoe fitting, contact me if you are unsure about this, with your camera make and model)
On this workshop you will learn about flash light, how it behaves and how to control it. We will use standard speedlite flashguns, as well as Elinchrom Quadra portable lighting kit.
The second half of the workshop will be hands on shooting a model on location utilising and practising what we have learnt in the morning.
We will look at and demonstrate the strobist equipment you will need, and where to source it from cheaply to replicate what we learn and shoot on the day.
You will also leave with images you take on the day that can be used in your portfolio.
